New toy

Another good weekend. We were looking forward to our night out without kids Friday. We got some dining coupons from a HS Fundraiser and decided to eat at a new restaurant, Beef O'Brady's. It was pretty good. We thought we were getting such a great deal with the coupon and ended up eating way more than we would usually and spending way more than we would have without the coupon. Funny how that happens! We were so stuffed silly that all we wanted to do was get home to stretch out. There went our plans for dinner and a movie. We ended up renting a movie from Redbox and vegging with our big screen.

The next morning I got to sleep in. Love it. Mike is an early bird on Saturdays because he hates wasting the weekend when it finally gets here. I've stopped feeling guilty about sleeping in when he's up so early. He's pretty good at entertaining himself until I roll out of bed. Anyway, I get up early with the kids during the week so I deserve a little beauty sleep now and then. When we were finally out, we headed to Houston in the Mini with the top down. Perfect weather! I commented on how long it's been since we've enjoyed the convertible. He reminded me that it has been winter after all. Duh! We drove out to take a look at this scooter he's been eyeballing. Before I knew it, we were leaving with it! OK, I did know about it. It's pretty exciting and we've already put some miles on it.

It was a really windy day. My hair looks freaky!

Kids got home safe and sound Saturday night. After we got them to bed Mike and I watched another movie. What would we do without our big screen. We'd either be broke or bored to death!

I taught the lesson in RS today. I thought it went really well, considering I only had about 15 minutes. It was a great article. When you find some time, Google it. It's called The Great Measure of Discipleship by Kenneth Southwick. There was no way I could cover all the information from the article, but it was so very good. Sacrament meeting was very good also. We had a baptism of three new members several weeks ago. All three of them bore their testimonies today and that brought on the waterworks. Then I suppose it really inspired others to share their testimonies because they just kept coming up. We went over just a little but it was worth it. Wonderful meetings!
Grandpa and Grandma Feidler are in town today. Good to have both our families so near.

Grandpa and Graham enjoying twins, Arrow and Bev!

Beef o brady's is owned by a less active member of the ward. Isn't that funny! Chris went in there to give it a try, and couln't place where he knew him from. About a week later he figured it out. So funny.
