Lots going on...

This week we said goodbye to our Honda Aero and HELLO to our brand spankin' new Yamaha Vino. It was too frustrating that the little 50cc just couldn't keep up with Mike's 250cc during our scooter drives. Go figure!! I also think he was tired of me sitting on the back of his. You're free Mike!

Take a look at our beautiful new addition to the garage. (It's the one Maddie and I are sitting on.) Isn't she a beauty! Really and truly, Mike is a good man. He researches to the bone for the best deals and sacrifices his paychecks for our entertainment. Now all we need is a couple more helmets! We did sell the one in the center that Graham is on. He won't legally need one for another 6 months or so. By that time, getting up for seminary will have killed us and he'll need to drive himself!

I wanted to share my newest embroidery project. Not too long ago I made a tshirt for my sister's friend. The little cupcake one was for a birthday girl and my sister made an adorable bow to match. Her friend loved it so much that she wanted another one. This time it was for another friend's preschooler. Her mascot is the bumble bee. I think my sister and I should start a business, huh? It's fun to do. Maybe I'll get into it a little more once school starts. I'm anxious to make more burp rags and quilts!

So things were going so well this week that it was time for a downer. This morning, Mike, Graham and I headed to Houston to deliver the tshirt and make a stop for Mike's work. On the way home we got rear-ended. I think this makes two accidents in my lifetime. Always the passenger, never the driver. I'm so grateful that none of us were hurt. This crazy person decided to run a red light. Mike was quick enough to slam on his breaks to avoid hitting him, but the guy behind us... not so quick. It had been raining too so the roads were slippery. We were fine, but poor Nemo will have to have surgery. Mike is a little heart broken, but he was a good sport. I think what bothers him most is that he'll have a rental that is just not as cool as the Mini. Luckily, the other guy's insurance has been pretty easy to work with. I'm grateful we didn't have to claim with our insurance because we are on a first name basis with our insurance company and that's just plain o' embarrassing. Not only do they insure just about everything we own, but we buy, sell, trade so many toys (scooters, boats, cars) that surely they think we are freaks. Just this morning the agent told us that we might eventually have to get a dealers license. She was kidding of course. Ah, the life of a Feidler!

On to good news again. All three kids are registered and ready for school! School supplies are anxiously awaiting Monday along with the new school clothes and shoes. Very exciting stuff! For me anyway. I remember being so excited going clothes shopping with my mom. We never agreed on the style of clothes and I'm sure I gave her the hardest time. Now that I'm out buying for picky kids, I can so appreciate my mom and her patience. And I remember that she didn't let me wear them until the first day of school. They would just sit in my drawers but I was ok with that because it was always so fun to have new clothes for the first couple of weeks. Not too sure the kids are in agreement with going back to school, however. This has been a good summer, probably the best one since Mike and I have been married. But I think whether or not they know it, the kids are ready for some structure. Bring it on!

I had forgotten about this picture! This was one of the few pictures we took on our weekend vacation in Galveston. It's another one of my favorites!

More pics of the kids when I had my nieces and nephew over for the day. The girls play so well together and Brennan seems to always gravitate to Graham. The stars and sticks figure surrounding them were put together by yours truly. I know, I'm an amazing achitect.

This could be my most favorite picture of Zack and Maddie. This shows how well they get along and how loving and tender our Zack is!

Thanks for visiting! Have a great day!!
