Geo Caching

Some friends of ours introduced us to Geo Caching! We gave it a go last night for the first time, even though it was late and dark, and had a blast.

I know, I had to ask what the heck it was too! Basically it's finding hidden markers with a personal GPS. We downloaded coordinates made by others onto our vehicle GPS and it gives us several places we can go to find that special something that's hidden. After 4 attempts, we finally found one hidden in the corner of nowhere beside a cemetery. Supposedly these hidden markers come in all different ways, shapes and forms. This one that we found was a tube hidden in a fence post and when you unscrewed the top, there was a piece of paper there for us to sign our names and the date we visited. There must have already been 20 names that visited before us! We even took one of the treasures (marti gras beads) and replaced it with a cute eraser. We were told that some of them have little trinkets that you can take or exchange with something else. It was great and our kids were begging us for more!

We will go during the day sometime soon and I will take pictures! Makes for an awesome FHE!!
