I was quickly walking through the grocery store the other day with Zack, trying to pick up some last minute sale items, when Zack made a dead stop in front of a display of pies. Cherry and apple pies. They appeared to be fairly reasonably priced, but I realized I had "the itch." I told him I'll bake him one, tonight!
So I did and we ate it and it filled the void. It was not, however, Mom's apple pie. At least I made it pretty and with lots of love!
Note to self: $2.99 is a steal of a deal for pie. Buy it and save yourself some grief and avoid left over pie!!

i LOVE apple pie! it is my favorite pie. warm with some "good" vanilla ice cream :)
i also love to make apple pie b/c it is just so easy (that is if you use the pre-made pie crust--which i do...that is one thing i have yet to tackle, making pie crust kind of scares me...)
