In My Absence

In August, I had the opportunity to spend almost 2 weeks in Oregon with my mom. It was great to see Tammy, Dana and kiddos. We even got to spend some time with Aaron and his sweet little one as they drove in from Utah. While we were there we spent some time hiking the waterfalls, playing at the Salem carousel, organizing and cleaning and mostly just visiting with our dear friends.

Apparently a lot was happening while I was away as well. A good long while ago, we had sold our scooters; all three as Graham got a car, Mike wanted a Lotus and I was just not scooting like I should. Well recently, we've been having scooter withdrawals and decided it was time to once again be the proud owners of yet another scooter. This one was purchased in my absence.
I also received my long awaited Shelf Reliance food rotating shelves. I came home to them almost completely put together. And I love them! I just need to work on filling them up to capacity.

So many exciting things happen while I'm away, I think I'll go out of town more often!!

You are so lucky. When I left for a couple weeks in Utah once, your Dad ordered siding on our house (to the tune of over $10,000.00). I was not as excited as you were for your surprise. We had discussed it earlier and it was determined we could not afford it. Turns out, the freedom from regular painting won out over the burden of regular payments for the next ten years. It's just one of the many differences in opinion that I learned your Dad was the wiser about.
