OK, I've had this burning question for a while.
What is the proper blogging etiquette when I want to comment on a friend's comment on my blog? Do I comment on my blog or should I go to the commenters blog and comment there? And do I comment on the most recent post or do I comment on the post with the original comment?
Any comments?

OK we have tried figuring this one out for awhile--typically I jsut go to their blog and comment on their latest post to make sure I know they got it--however I have done the latter too, when I know they are avid readers. The first is the more sure fire way!
Personally, I think you should comment on the post they commented on. That way if they asked a question someone else might be interested in, then that someone else can also get the answer. :D
But I don't know the "etiquette".
the actual rule is that there is no rule to it. Do what you like. if you want to answer or comment back do it something like this..
in your post put their name and then comment or answer back like so...

the key is to comment on the same topic that way its kept together. and no one gets comfused.
