Wow, it's been a while since I've posted. Welp, summer is here....
Last week was a busy week with Twilight Day Camp for the Cub Scouts. We had a really fun time and did not even melt this year! The theme was Knights of the Roundtable and the boys spent the week decorating their swords, shields and tunics. They had a special presentation on falcon's and another on sword fighting. I ditched a little early on Friday because I had to work a graveyard that night so I missed their special ceremony in promoting the boys from pages to Knights. It was a great experience and Zack's last summer as a Cub.
Summer is our opportunity for doctor's, dentists, orthodonists and all that other fun stuff. I feel like the summer taxi driver. Poor Mike gets up so diligently every morning and never complains that he's got to go make money while we play during the day. He is such a good man!
Speaking of my good man. I would love to plan a vacation with him while the kids are with their mom. I'm looking for fun vacation ideas. I thought about a cruise but the warm hurricane waters give me a little icky feeling. I've also heard about the sea sickness from some people. Then I thought it would be fun to go to NYC and get into a late night show (Jay Leno, SNL) and visit all the hot spots of the city. But flights to NY are kinda out of our budget at the moment. I'm ready to spurge however because I will make it happen this summer!! Any suggestions?!
I'm not running these days (for anyone interested in feeling sorry for me) because my hip still hurts if I pick up a pace. I am still doing strenth training twice a week and loving it. It's so stinkin' hot these days and if I don't get out before 8a then I'm toast.
We had a great Father's day! Mike got some good goodies and we spent the day with his family. Fun was had by all. We are so very lucky to have Mike. He has such wonderful qualities. We came up with quite a few in the car on the way to Port Arthur.
F- he is so Funny and witty
A- he is very Attractive
T- he Tickles good (even when we don't want it!)
H- he is always Happy and tries to make us happy
E- he is Educated about so much
R- he Rarely gets mad and is so patient
We are blessed to have him as our Daddy and Husband. We love you Mike!

What about San Diego or San Francisco for a vaca?! Good for you on still exercising! I wish I would have never posted about wanting to do it on my blog...hahaha....because I haven't done ANYTHING in like 6 weeks and I'm embarrassed! Ah well...that's the life of a mom with young kids, right?! ;o)

Darn kids and hips get in the way of vanity, huh?! I seriously considered not blogging the exercise myself for the very reason of not not being able to hold up to my goal. So what are the hot spots of San Diego or San Fran? Thanks for your input!
Whne you get good and CHEAP suggestions send them our way it has been a LONG time since we have gone anywhere for any lenght of time ALONE!
