Recent projects!

This has been a good week. We are getting back into routine and I'm getting my projects done little by little.

Mike has been getting up with Graham most mornings this week. I think it was Tuesday that I was feeling a wee bit guilty and got up to "hang" with Graham while he was getting going for seminary. By "hanging" with Graham, I mean resting under a blanket on the couch with my eyes closed, while he eats breakfast. He's been so diligent in getting himself up and ready so early in the morning. I think I remember my mom getting me up and fixing me breakfast. What a sacrifice she made. Not that it's a real excuse, but Mike and I are not what you would call morning people. Anyway, as soon as Graham walked out the door, I fell asleep again until it was time to get the girl up. When I knew she was out of bed and moving, I went back to bed.... for just a few minutes. Next thing I knew, Maddie was hovering over me to give me a kiss goodbye. She ate breakfast, was dressed, teeth brushed and even had her hair in a ponytail! Zack was standing at the doorway ready to go also (even though he had another hour before the bus pickup.) Well I was pretty impressed! I told Mike that essentially, my work here is done and I might need to move on. I was kidding of course, I was just really proud of their self reliance. Now where the heck is all that self reliance in the evenings when it's time to take baths, brush teeth, gather laundry, take out trash, etc. Ha!

I've somehow found a cold this week. I managed to avoid it through 3 sick kids. Well, here it is. Thank goodness it is a mild case. Even with the runny/stuffy nose I found the energy to get going on our embroidery machine. My sister made this adorable blue jean skirt and matching bow and I made a t-shirt to go with it. It was her idea of course, but the ensemble turned out just too, too cute! I made two candy corn and two pumpkin tees for my nieces. I might just make me one also! See my pics!

Again, pictures are not the best. It's just so much easier to take pics with my phone versus our camera. You get the idea!

The t-shirts came out so cute. Can't wait to make more bows to match them! Do you want a bow too? haha But seriously, I could make you a headband!

Too cute, what a talent you have. And responsible kids are the best.
