Campaign '08... enough already!!!

You'd think after all this time, I would have accumulated some great blogging content. But seriously, outside of the blankity, blank election, life is as usual. Wonderful!

As Mike and I sit here tonight on the couch in front of the big screen, election news takes over every channel (minute by minute). It's quite overwhelming to wonder what our future holds. I feel quite blessed and try not to spend too much time fretting over the issues. I strongly believe that if we maintain a good attitude and hold true to the Prophet's words, we will be ok.

Tomorrow is mine and Mike's 4 year wedding anniversary. We were just discussing the fact that neither one of us can honestly say we remember anything at all about the last election. Wonder why?? What a wonderful 4 years it has been with my dear Mike and his kiddos. What joy they have brought me! We've had our ups and downs (don't we all?!) and at the end of the day, we are still in love. It's nice to have such purpose in my life!

It's getting late and I've been up since 4:50am (ah, seminary) so here are a few quick highlights:

-Halloween was great fun!! The kids have figured out all of the tricks of the trade. The weather was beautiful,we were all together and Mike held my hand the whole time. Can't beat that!
-Mike spent last week in San Antonio attending a convention for work. He went with a co-worker that has just about the same crazy craziness that Mike possesses so my guess is that it was more like a vacation. We missed him something fierce and we are so grateful he came home safe.
-Maddie continues to enjoy her voice lessons. She has great potential and is learning so much. I think she wants to be a rock star when she grows up!
-Zack is excelling in piano and enjoys it. He would so love to be sporting it in soccer, baseball or basketball also. He is our only athletic gene in the family.
-Graham has recently been grounded from his cell phone, computer, mp3 player and TV. Without all the distractions, we've all been able to get to know him better and I have to tell ya, he's a great kid! (just 14) He's been attending seminary every single morning and we've not heard one peep of complaint.
-I don't know why exactly, but I've been on cloud nine for the past couple of weeks. I'm just happy I suppose. Life is good.

I tried to get some pictures posted but we are having technical difficulties. Maybe tomorrow!
