Christmas 2008

Ah, Christmas. It's finally over. We had a great time, but calling it quits is a good feeling. Any tips on less commercialism and more reason for the season? It's tough when your husband is a kid himself at times! This is Mike eating his favorite, PEEPS, off the car window. He had the kids rolling! Grandma and Grandpa Feidler were able to stay Christmas eve at our house this year so it was great fun to have them here Christmas morning. On the eve we read Christ's story, sang songs and had family prayer. The next morning we learned that we weren't so bad after all. Santa was good to us this year. There were many gifts to enjoy this year but I believe the highlight was the remote control helicopters that Santa brought. Notice we are all looking up in some of our pictures! After a while of playing with toys and enjoying each others' company, we decided to get dressed for the day. The kids' mom finally came to get them and Mike and I headed out to Lake Jackson to see my extended family. Our tradition is to play the white elephant game. Mike and I left for the game with a box of chocolates and ended up coming home with a box of truffles. How's a girl supposed to keep her girly figure!??

I was really frustrated that I didn't get a Christmas letter in the mail... again. Every year it's the same sad story that I ran out of time and we didn't get out for a family picture. Ah the age old phrase, "Maybe next year!"

I hope you all had a wonderful, memorable Christmas.
