Snow... amazing snow!
To some of you northerners, this may seem like a small thing. To those of us in hot, humid Texas... we are beside ourselves!! I just mentioned yesterday morning that this seemed to be a mild winter for us, then BAM, it started snowing yesterday evening. This has happened twice now since Mike and I have been married. It's such a rare occasion. The last time before that was when I was 16! We are just so happy that the kids have had this opportunity again. Who would have thought! Here is the front of our house.

Don't worry about my not having a jacket. I came outside purely for the picture and was back in the house in 2 seconds with my hot cocoa and apple cider! You can't tell too much in the pics, but I darkened my hair for the first time ever. Crazy stuff. I think Mike's ready for the blonde again.
Oh, and this is Lola's first white Christmas also. Come to think of it, it's her first Christmas. In case you didn't know, we are dog sitting for my sister and her family. It's been quite an adventure! But isn't she just too cute!
Zack initiating a snow penquin!

Graham initiating the other half of the snowman.
After Mr. Snowman was complete, the kids and Mike took some pictures and straightway uploaded them to channel 13. This morning one of the kids in the seminary carpool told Graham he was famous... he had seen the picture on the early morning news!
The final masterpiece. The kids were running around trying to find accessories and extremities for the snowman. Come to think of it, they were scrambling for coats and gloves and all kinds of warm stuff. Snow just doesn't happen around here that often!
Then the craziness begins....

We had a great time and will cherish our memories forever!!

i'm pretty sure that the pole was NOT cold enough to have your tounge stick to it (thank goodnes....) what fun. I remember it snowing in So. Cal. when I was in middle school and it was such a HUGE thing (even though the snow did not stick and melted ASAP!)
what fun for y'all!
I can't believe we missed the snow. I'm sad the kids missed it. They were busy watching Home Alone while I was cooking dinner. I could wish and hope it will snow again soon...but that's asking a little much, huh?
