Guitar lessons anyone?

Since Mike and I have been married, he's always talked about wishing he was more musically skilled. He's gone through phases including kareoke, violin, hermonica, drum set, piano and now the GUITAR. He dreams of our family one day entertaining the world (or maybe just Youtube) with our band. Maddie would sing, I would play the drum set (I used to be a drummer in HS band so that is not too far fetched), Zack on keyboard, and Graham and Mike on a variety of guitars. Or something like that. Ah, dreams...
So he finally broke down, gathered all his savings from his little night stand and took off to Guitar Center. It's pretty exciting stuff! Here he is with his new love. He's been dabbling with Youtube lessons and actually sounds pretty good! I hope I can talk him into taking some real live lessons someday soon!

Kids are back in school and I'm getting back into routine. I like routine... a lot. I don't think I'm obsessive about it, but routine sure makes me happier. Of course with the new year follows resolutions galore. Is it ok to have so many?? Probably unrealistic. I sure hope to have more energy this year. I'm already signed up for a Yogalates class for the next couple of months. I want to be more active and definately more positive this year! I also hope to COMPLETE all of my many projects waiting for me upstairs. Mike bought me this awesome sewing table for Christmas. I'm pretty sure that's all I needed to get myself going! I'm excited about the potential. This week is the week for organizing and preparing then next week I'm off to a great start.

I won't list any of my other resolutions. I'm sure they are the same as many, many others'. But even if it is just silly tradition, I'm sure grateful for January. It's just got some kind of energy like no other month.

mike looks so happy with his new friend. you don't have to fight for space in the bed with that thing, do you? ;)
i wrote down my resolutions and have them right in front of my computer....hopefully with them being written down and up for more than myself to see--it'll inspire someone else in the house as well. :)

Tamie - Leaving your resolutions within view is a great idea. I have so many I'd need an extra long sheet of paper. Guess it's not realistic to have that many. No guitar in the bed... yet. He has to compete with my body pillow at times so who knows what will happen. Thanks for being my #1 commenter!
