COPE and more

We've come home from a long day of errands to find two new emails from Mike. Apparently, everyday they have the leaders participate in COPE (Challenging obstacle for personal enrichment, or something like that.) Here they are with pictures.

Scoutmaster wacky golf 9 holes was today at 1pm. Here is my homemade club and ball "alien egg". I think I placed 2nd in this today and 2nd in the scoutmaster boot toss yesterday. I think it will be announced at the camp fire Friday night.
I love and miss you!
Mike
Having fun! Here is a picture of me jumping from the challenge pole over 20' high to ring the bell. I just tethered the computer and it appears to be working, but stupid anti virus and Windows are trying to download updates! Hogging all my band width. I love and miss you all. Hope you're having fun. Stay cool! I'll try. It said the temperature in Dequincy, 6 miles from us was 1004 yesterday!.. I am forming a nice heat rash on my chest.
Oh Fun!
Luv you, Love you, Luv ya.
Mike

Wouldn't you know that Mike would be having technical difficulties in the middle of a camp ground. I left his typo about the heat because I thought it was funny. I'm sure he feels like it's 1004 degrees!

We saw the Confessions of a Shopaholic last night and it was pretty darn cute. I'm easy when it comes to movies though. As long as I don't have to put too much thought into it! We are very much enjoying my niece here. Yesterday we took advantage of the local pool. It was quite refreshing.

After days and days of heat and drought, we are finally getting rain as I type. What a nice relief. No idea how long it will stay, but I say keep it coming. My poor garden could use some hydration!

When I saw the 1004, I thought the same thing . . . he probably feels like it's that hot! Few things make me seriously jealous, but your getting rain while we are parched here does the trick. We had a movie night here and also saw Confessions . . . but in the middle of it, Sheila that used to live next door (Tanners') called and I needed to visit with her so I missed some of it. What I saw of it was pretty cute, especially the lead guy. I hope I'm never too old to notice. Looking forward to canning tomorrow . . . I think. :-)
