New Braunsfels, Texas

This summer we had planned to travel East with Mike's family. Plans changed and we shortened our travels to end up in Florida. Then there was the oil leak in the Gulf and we talked ourselves out of traveling beyond Texas completely. We stuck to what we knew would be great fun. Schlitterbahn of course! Only this year, we headed to the mother of all Schlitterbahn park's in New Braunsfels, Texas. It was another successful vacation for the Feidler family.
First day was Father's day. We settled into our hotel, then enjoyed a picnic at a local park. Hamburgers and hotlinks were devoured by all. We appreciate the opportunity we had to enjoy our special dads in a small, quiet setting.

Second day we hit the water parks. Thanks to the wisdom and experience of Uncle Larry and Aunt Kim, we showed up quite early, allowing us the opportunity to claim a great spot with shade and get in line to beat the crowds. We had great fun in the sun and ended the day with minimal burns.

Third day we hit a different part of the water park. Huge water rides, some relaxing and some thrilling. It was a smaller part of the park, so the kids were able to run around and play a little on their own without too much concern. By afternoon, the lines were long and the sun was beating down upon us, but we weren't quite ready to go with the rest of the gang who had little ones in tow. What fun we had and what memories we made!

Hopefully more pictures will be posted soon. These are a few that came from Mike's camera. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa, for initiating such a fun excersion.
