I know a name, a glorious name, Dearer than any other.
Listen, I'll whisper the name to you: It is the name of father.
Father, so noble and brave and true, I love you, I love you.
Father, so noble and brave and true, I love you!
This was one of my favorite primary songs when I was young. Even now my heart swells when I sing it. There are many father's I know that hold such an important place in my heart. Each one has taught me so many beautfiful lessons, both by words and example.
My father, of course, taught me to love others, to be honest, and to work hard among so many other things. Sweet, sweet memories of my dad come to me and touch my heart unlike anyone will ever know. I am a part of him on so many levels and that makes me feel pretty special!
My husband is a wonderful example to me. He teaches us that we are very loved, to be patient with each other, to have a positive attitude and to have fun.
My father-in-law shows me respect. He also raised a sweet and loving boy to be the man I've always wanted!
My dear friend Dana has taught me to love learning. He has also been a great example of love and sacrifice. He probably does not recognize the great influence that he has made on me. I will be forever grateful for the sacrifices he has made.
A previous Bishop, and friend, Terry, taught me about hard work and humility, and helped me gain a testimony. Just being in the same room with him makes me feel safe.
There are so many other fathers that I hold so dear to my heart. Today they will be on my mind. Today I honor them for being the wonderful men they are!! Happy Father's Day!

Chelle, that is a sweet tribute to the wonderful men in you life. Thanks for sharing
It takes a well-adjusted individual to recognize and give credit to the people in our lives that help to shape us into what and who we are. I'm so glad that you belong to me and that I am in your circle of influence. I hope you always keep your sense of wonder.
