2010 Smarty Britches

We've had a good long summer. Another successful vacation completed and it's back to the grind. The anticipation of school starting this year is very exciting!

Maddie has finally completed elementary school and starts 5th grade at Sam Jamison. Multiple teachers AND lockers make for a very exciting year. She is getting taller each day and takes pride in her continuously growing feet. I don't know how it happened, but it happened this summer and all I can say is, I'd better hide my good shoes! The highlight of the summer for Maddie was receiving that most anticipated letter from the school accepting her into advanced classes. She is still so ready and willing to learn! Her most verbalized phrase so far this year is "I can't wait until...!"

Zack has moved up to junior high and will be attending Pearland Junior High South. He's a 7th grader! We signed him up for football training during the summer. Then all that complaining about Mike's bad neck and the notorious coaches' yelling, we pretty much talked him out of it. He will try track and join a few clubs this year instead. He still has his smarts so we left him in the advanced classes. This may be the infamous year of procrastination so we will have to keep all eyes on him. What a great kiddo he is!

Graham, our Junior. Crazy stuff! He will be attending his second to last year at Pearland High School. He's got a full load this year, including pre-calculus and physics. PLUS, the boy got a real job! Ya know, that kind that pays real money! With seminary, school and work we will send him off at 5:20am, maybe see him a few minutes in the afternoon, then again just after 8pm. Phew! He's very excited though. Graham has such great qualities about him, we think he will have a fantastic year.

So look out world, we are ready for another great year!
