The Feidler family would like to wish you a Merry Christmas and an exciting New Year.

2011 has been a great year and we would like to share our happy memories with you. Right smack in the middle of this horrendous housing market, we thought it would be adventurous to see if our house could sell. We were hoping to downsize, reduce house cleaning and give Mike his much anticipated “man cave.” We did sell and what a pain it was! During the middle of October we moved into our new home and hope to be here a good long while. Please take note of the address so you can send us your family news as well. We would LOVE to hear from you.

“The Man Cave” Mike has been in hog heaven prepping it for its future use of storing his endless toys. As a bonus, the house came with an enclosed formal dining room. Seeing as we are just not that formal, we’ve turned this into a home theater. Mike has big dreams for this room and as soon as we win the lotto they will all be fulfilled. Mike works at All Play, Inc., selling commercial playgrounds and park amenities and although work has been slow, he’s very good at what he does and manages to keep his family very comfortable.

Chelle had a turn of events this summer when her position at Dawson High School was dissolved and she was transferred to Magnolia Elementary as the school nurse. She enjoys the sweet kids that come into the clinic and really enjoys the school hours, holidays and summers off. She is also trying her hand as a consultant for Shelf Reliance. Learning about food storage and emergency prep is her new thing. After having been released from 2 years of service as the Young Women’s president of the Pearland Ward, and a very brief time as Cub Scout Master, she is enjoying being between church callings. Because of the move we are in a new ward so being calling-less will be short lived and that’s ok because she could use all the blessings she can get.

Graham has been super busy working, working and working. Also, he goes to school, participates in the school A/V group and church activities. He receives praises and incentives every day at Old Navy for his great work ethic and he really enjoys what he does. With that employee discount, the boy has more clothes than his entire family put together. He attended EFY Idaho this summer and had a blast. Graham was called as the class president in his early morning seminary class and has learned to be a great leader. We anticipate hearing back in the middle of January to find out where he goes to college, hoping to squeeze in a couple of semesters before his mission. It’s crazy how fast he’s grown!

Our Zack is as sweet as ever and has become quite the gentleman, holding doors for the ladies in our family. Coming out of his shell a bit, he enjoys attending after school clubs like Future Cities and Robotics and even got involved in track. He is still incredibly talented in the art department, free hand drawing some amazing projects. Zack turned 14 this year, enabling him to serve as a Teacher in our ward and also attend the monthly youth dances. He has a great group of friends at school and enjoys most of his advanced classes. This has been a challenging school year for him but he really enjoys his teachers and is super smart. Thank goodness he hasn’t outgrown giving hugs just yet!

Maddie turned 12 this year, and is more beautiful than ever. Tall and slender, she’s just about eye to eye with her old step-mom! She graduated primary and was more than ready to join the Young Women's program. Being the social butterfly she’s always been, Maddie has no problems making and keeping friends. This year she’s been involved in volleyball and loves her ballet class. She also stays busy with after school clubs like drama, choir, debate and book club. Lookout world, our Maddie is becoming a lady!

We have had a great year. During the summer we took our first cruise together as a family and visited Progresso and Cozumel. The kids were introduced to the world of endless buffets and hanging out in the middle of the ocean during all hours of the day and night, in addition to experiencing other cultures. It was a wonderful trip! We also got to spend a weekend at Lake Summerville, camping and sailing. Chelle got to travel with her mamma and spent a week with some dear friends in Oregon.

We have been extremely blessed with good health, great friends and the hope of yet another fun year. If you just can’t get enough of us please check in on our blog every once in a while (www.feidlerfun.blogspot.com). It’s not always current but on occasion you may get a spontaneous entry. Please know that while our circumstances keep us busy and apart, we think of you often and talk of you with love. You are in our thoughts and prayers, especially this Christmas season.
