The big 4-0!

Boy was I tricked into having all kinds of fun! Friday night, September the 28th, we had a huge birthday bash out of nowhere. Apparently Mike and my mother were conspiring plans for a week to surprise me on my big milestone of a birthday. I thought we were going to have a simple dinner out with the kids, in-laws and my mom. We waited and waited that evening for Mom to make her arrival to the house so that we could all travel to the pre-detemined place that Mike had picked out. I should have grown a brain then because we hardly ever wait for Mr. Bill to eat dinner, usually at 5p! Also, never is Mike so hell-bent on choosing the place to eat.

But we waited and right around 7pm I happened to sneak a peak of what I thought was my nephew in the back window. I thought how fun that my mom brought the kids to celebrate with me. Then there was my sister, Jen coming in with a platter of something yummy. And the food just kept coming out of the car. Then there was the doorbell at the frontdoor. My aunt! Then another aunt! Aunt and Uncle! My other sister, Mis and her kids. They kept coming! And I was loving every single milisecond of it. Mike got away with surprising me!! We had almost 25 people here, mingling and eating (my favorite things to do) and it was just plain fun. I opened gift after wonderful gift and we laughed and laughted. After a while, Mike kicked on the karaoke machine and we all went crazy singing like no other.

What a great evening! My home, my favorite dishes to eat, my family. I couldn't not have asked for a better birthday.
