Adding sweetness to the pot.

We are proud to announce that our little one that's been brewing for a few months now will bring a bit more estrogen to the family. Like we needed more but we welcome her with open arms! The long awaited ultrasound was Tuesday night and we brought the whole gang along. Maddie wanted to be THE very first one to know and Zack thought he would just tag along. The four of us in the small room was a hoot but I loved every minute of it. Our tech was very good, talking us through the ultrasound pictures, what she was measuring and what the heck we were looking at. There was an addition monitor on the wall so the kids were able to see it on the "big screen." As the tech was describing that the color was detecting organs such as the brain and heart, Mike casually mentioned that it "looks like rain." Guess you had to have been there, but it really did look like a weather map and my belly was shaking from laughing so hard! I love this man and his sense of humor. The tech was just about finished measuring and asked if we were ready to know the gender. We were taken back that she already knew and she laughed saying she knew in the beginning when the baby started moving around. It's a girl!!! Another girl!!
Oh the smiles and commotion in that little room. Even Zack was happy, but it was oozing off of Maddie and Mike. A girl to doll up with bows and a girl that will NOT be working on her Eagle Scout. I'm just so happy that she is healthy as far as we can tell. After announcing it, a friend asked if this makes is more real. It absolutely does, as well as the increased movement and fluttering I'm feeling from her. I'm sure we will have another, stronger sense of "real" when she is here and keeping me up all night. For now we relish in the exciting news.
