I took this picture last night when I realized it was the first time that all three kids had real true-life homework all on the same night. After working with the boys for a while, Maddie came up to inform me that she was hungry. IT WAS 7PM!!! Time flies when your getting caught up on 15+ years of dormant math.
Sorry Nancy! I've been slacking on the entries. Mike and I have decided we want the summer back! Seems like these days go by so fast and we can't get caught up. I had invisioned that with the kids going back to school, I'd get all kinds of projects completed. Where do my days go??
The kids are doing great with school! Zack has been bringing homework home like crazy. He started his GT courses just this week. He's growing up so fast and his personality just keeps getting more and more cheeky. Heaven help us! He's still the most loveable kid I know though. He has promised me that he will always be loveable... even at 16! Cub Scouts has started up again and he is now a big, bad Webelo! He's also eating like crazy. They all are as a matter of fact. I thought this wasn't supposed to happen until the teens! I'm going to have to get another job just for groceries!
Maddie loves her teacher! Not surprising, Maddie is almost always so happy. I worked the book fair at Massey Elementary yesterday and thought I'd slip in to see Maddie at lunch. She was so excited, you would have thought she'd just seen a long lost friend. She has a way of making me feel loved! It was a real treat to find that on this particular day, she and Zack just happened to sit across from each other so I got to eat with both of them! This is her birthday month... WOO HOO! She's very excited about getting baptized this year and is equally excited that she gets to hang out with the other girls on Achievement night. Poor thing is stuck hanging out on Wednesdays while we are doing the scout thing. But she is a good sport and will get to start soon enough. 8 is great!
I actually think Graham is even liking school so far. OK... maybe just tolerating it seems to be more appropriate. I think he's really going to like band once they actually get to start playing their instruments. We are going to hit a Pearland High football game soon to get him hyped up about marching. (Maybe that's more for me and Mike... ahhh, memories). Last night he brought home a math project. I dusted off the cobwebs of my old brain and attempted to help him with it. Well, let's just say it wasn't easy! Graham is definitely our math wiz!
Hope everyone is having a great week!

HOMEWORK!!!!! augh, I don't even want to THINK about that!!!! Thankfully there is no homework in preschool. I'm not sure how thrilled I'm going to be about kindergarten sending homework home...I have a problem with that. But enough of my soapbox.
It is true: where do the days go to? Glad to see that you're on the up and up with that. :) It is great to hear about the kids.
